Trusted 800+ Providers MGMA 2026 Corporate Member HIPAA-Trained SOC 2 Type II BAA Signed $5M E&O and Cyber Liability
You find trusted Net Health outsourcing services by checking three things: the team works inside your own Optima or WoundExpert system instead of pulling your data into someone else’s process, each specialist signs on under a Business Associate Agreement with a named individual login, and the pricing is a flat fee rather than a cut of your collections. Staffingly staffs exactly that model: dedicated remote teams trained on real Net Health workflows, from Optima therapy scheduling and documentation queues to WoundExpert records and the PDPM billing that follows, working under signed Business Associate Agreements at a flat weekly fee per specialist, never a percentage of your collections. Our specialists work US business hours inside your own systems, under named, auditable logins, with BAAs executed and HIPAA-trained staff.
The Platform Family

What Is Net Health?

Net Health is a Pittsburgh-based specialty healthcare software company serving, by its own count, more than 25,000 healthcare organizations across roughly 14,000 facilities, including about two thirds of the skilled nursing facilities in the United States. In post-acute care its core products are Optima for Skilled Nursing and Optima for Senior Living, the therapy management EMRs used by contract therapy companies, SNFs, ALFs, and CCRCs, alongside ReDoc for outpatient rehab clinics and WoundExpert with Tissue Analytics for wound care teams.

The portfolio has moved around, which is why so many teams search for it under different names. Net Health acquired Optima Healthcare Solutions in 2019 and Casamba in 2021, then retired Casamba Skilled in March 2022 and moved those facilities onto Optima. In January 2023 it sold its home health, hospice, home care, and palliative EMR lines, the HealthWyse and Hospicesoft brands, along with its RCM services, to Careficient. What remains is deep but specific: therapy and wound care systems that generate scheduling, documentation, eligibility, and billing work faster than most facility teams can absorb. That gap is what this service covers.

Fit

Who Is This For?

Organizations whose daily work runs through a Net Health system and whose staff are losing hours to it: SNF rehab departments and contract therapy companies scheduling therapists in Optima across multiple buildings, senior living operators keeping therapy documentation and billing aligned, and wound care programs documenting in WoundExpert inside SNFs, LTACHs, and outpatient wound centers. It fits a single facility that needs one trained specialist as well as a multi-site operator that needs a billing desk plus a scheduling and documentation pod.

A note for former Net Health home health and hospice agencies. If your agency ran Net Health’s home health or hospice EMR, those product lines moved to Careficient in January 2023 under the HealthWyse and Hospicesoft brands. Your queues did not pause for the transition. The section below covers how we keep PDGM billing, NOAs, and hospice claims current through and after a platform handoff.
The Problem

Where Net Health Facilities Lose Time and Money

Medicare Advantage denials pile up faster than appeals go out.

MA plans deny SNF claims that traditional Medicare would pay. When nobody owns the appeal queue, facilities absorb write-offs that were winnable.

See the fix
Eligibility checks miss therapy visit limits.

A clean 271 response says the plan is active, not how many therapy visits remain. Facilities find out at denial time, after the visits are delivered.

See the fix
Therapy claim rejections age out before anyone decodes them.

Rejections sit in clearinghouse queues in payer shorthand. By the time someone translates them, timely filing windows are closing.

See the fix
Interrupted stay edits force cancel-and-rebill sequencing.

A resident leaves and returns within the interrupted stay window and the claims must be combined, cancelled, and resequenced. Few in-house teams do this often enough to do it quickly.

How Staffingly Supports Organizations on Net Health

Therapy Scheduling and Documentation Support in Optima

Optima exists to keep therapist schedules, treatment documentation, and billing compliance connected across SNFs, ALFs, and CCRCs. Our team owns the administrative side of that loop: building and adjusting therapist schedules as census moves, tracking planned versus delivered treatment time, chasing unsigned notes and missed-visit documentation before they become billing holds, and preparing the caseload and productivity views your rehab director reads each morning. Clinical judgment stays with your therapists; the boundary is written into the SOW. The result is a rehab calendar that reflects the building as it is today, not as it was on Friday.

SNF and LTC Billing Behind the Therapy Record

Optima transmits codes and charges toward billing; someone still has to make the claims land. Our billers keep Medicare Part A PDPM claims moving through triple-check, watch consolidated billing so excluded services are not paid twice, and keep UB-04 and 837I submissions clean across Medicare, Medicaid, and MA plans. Therapy minutes that were documented correctly deserve claims that pay the first time.

Eligibility, Benefits, and Admission Coordination

Before a resident admits or a therapy plan starts, our team verifies Medicare benefit days, checks MA plan authorization requirements, confirms therapy coverage beyond the bare 271 response, and tracks Medicaid-pending cases so nothing is written off while an application sits. Admission paperwork, payer notifications, and pre-admission screening steps get logged and followed to closure.

WoundExpert Wound Care Documentation Support

WoundExpert and Tissue Analytics handle the clinical record and automated wound measurement; our team handles the administrative weight around them. That means prepping visit documentation, following up on incomplete wound assessments before they stall claims, capturing supply and visit charges, and keeping the reporting your wound program committed to on schedule. Wound documentation is a frequent audit target in post-acute care, and complete records are the cheapest defense.

Denials, AR, and Payer Follow-Up

We work the aging by payer, not by hope: denial queues triaged daily, Medicare Advantage denials appealed one by one with the clinical record attached, ERA posting reconciled against deposits, and a weekly AR report your administrator can read in five minutes. Facilities on Optima already have the documentation to win most of these arguments; what they lack is the staff hours to make them.

Former Net Health Home Health and Hospice Agencies

When Net Health sold its home health and hospice lines to Careficient in January 2023, agencies on HealthWyse and Hospicesoft inherited a platform transition they did not schedule. Billing does not wait: PDGM claims, NOAs, hospice NOEs, and hospice billing compliance deadlines all run on payer clocks, not vendor roadmaps. Our teams keep those queues current through a migration, work in whichever system holds the live record, and stay on after go-live so the backlog does not get a head start.

How Our Teams Train and Go Live on Net Health Platforms

Staffingly specialist working inside a client's Net Health system

New team members train on your workflows before they touch production: your SOPs first, then our internal training library and supervised practice sessions, then production work under a senior reviewer until quality holds. Each specialist works under an individual HIPAA agreement with named, auditable credentials in your Optima or WoundExpert environment, never shared logins. A trained backup shadows each seat from week one, so coverage does not depend on one person’s calendar.

FAQ

Net Health Outsourcing: Frequently Asked Questions

What tasks can a remote team handle in Optima for Skilled Nursing?

The administrative loop around therapy: building and adjusting therapist schedules, tracking planned versus delivered treatment time, chasing unsigned notes and missed-visit documentation, preparing caseload and productivity reports, and keeping the billing handoff clean. Clinical decisions stay with your therapists.

Can you support both the therapy side and the SNF billing side?

Yes, and that is the point of a dedicated team. The same engagement can cover Optima scheduling and documentation follow-up plus PDPM claims, consolidated billing checks, denial appeals, and AR, so the therapy record and the claim stop living in separate silos.

Does Staffingly work with WoundExpert?

Yes. We staff the administrative work around WoundExpert and Tissue Analytics: visit documentation prep, follow-up on incomplete assessments, charge capture, and program reporting. The wound care itself remains with your clinicians.

What happened to Net Health’s home health and hospice products?

Net Health sold its home health, hospice, home care, and palliative EMR lines, the HealthWyse and Hospicesoft brands, plus its RCM services to Careficient in January 2023. Net Health now concentrates on therapy, wound care, and occupational health software.

We came from Casamba. Can you support us on Optima now?

Yes. Casamba Skilled was retired in March 2022 and those facilities moved to Optima. Our teams train on the current Optima workflows, and many of the tasks, scheduling, documentation follow-up, billing prep, map one to one from the Casamba era.

How do your staff access our Net Health systems?

Through named individual user accounts you approve, with least-privilege roles and full audit logging. No shared logins, no offline exports of PHI.

How fast can a dedicated team start?

Most teams go live in about 14 days: access setup, workflow training on your SOPs, then supervised production. The engagement starts with a 2-Week Free Trial.

Is outsourced Net Health work secure and HIPAA-ready?

HIPAA-trained staff, executed BAAs, workflows designed to support HIPAA compliance, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, and $5M in coverage. Full detail on our security page.
