Remote Rx30 support means trained specialists log in to your own Rx30 system and work your queues from a distance: data entry, refills, rejections, prior authorizations, med sync, and inventory. Staffingly provides that model with dedicated people rather than shared help desks. Each specialist is assigned to your pharmacy, trained on your SOPs, and works under signed Business Associate Agreements with named credentials. Pricing is a flat weekly fee per dedicated specialist, never a percentage of your prescription volume, and coverage starts with our pharmacy back-office service built for retail and community pharmacies. Our specialists work US business hours inside your own systems, under named, auditable logins, with BAAs executed and HIPAA-trained staff.
The Platform

What Is Rx30, and Who Owns It Now?

Rx30 is a pharmacy management system with decades of history in independent and chain pharmacy, originally developed by Transaction Data Systems (TDS). In July 2023, TDS completed its merger with Outcomes, the pharmacy services business previously owned by Cardinal Health, and the combined company now operates under the Outcomes name. Rx30 was not retired in that transition: it remains an actively sold and developed system in the Outcomes portfolio alongside Computer-Rx, and it is now marketed as part of an integrated Outcomes platform.

The system is built for volume. Rx30 handles prescription processing and workflow with assignable work queues, on-demand label printing, scanning, and packaging machine integrations, plus a Virtual Pharmacist automation layer that can process refills, adjudicate, print labels, and bill insurance without staff touching the fill. Automation clears the routine fills; what remains is exactly the work that eats staff hours anyway: rejected claims, prior authorizations, phone calls, med sync maintenance, and data entry exceptions. That remainder is what this service staffs.

Fit

Who Is This For?

Independent community pharmacies and regional chains running Rx30 that are short-staffed at the fill line: a single-store owner whose technicians spend afternoons on hold with payers, a multi-store group that needs a central data entry and rejections desk, or a high-volume operation where the phones alone justify a dedicated remote seat. If the pharmacist is doing technician work after close, there is a seat here that pays for itself.

A note on the Outcomes transition. Some Rx30 pharmacies are weighing what the TDS-to-Outcomes rebrand means for their system long term, and some are evaluating migrations. Our teams work the queues you have today, and if you change systems later, trained staff carry your workflows across; see why pharmacy system migrations lose your pricing tables before you plan one.
The Problem

Where Community Pharmacies Lose Time and Money

Unanswered phones quietly cost prescriptions.

When the fill line is buried, calls ring out. Patients transfer out, prescribers stop calling in, and nobody sees the lost volume on any report.

See the fix
Payer hold time lands on the fill line.

A rejection that needs a payer call pulls a technician off production for 20 to 40 minutes. Multiply by a normal day’s rejections and the fill line loses a person.

See the fix
Med sync decays without dedicated upkeep.

Sync programs are easy to launch and hard to maintain. Alignment calls, date math, and exception handling take hours a week that the bench does not have.

See the fix
Technician turnover restarts training again and again.

Each departure takes system knowledge with it, and each new hire costs weeks of pharmacist time to retrain on the same workflows.

How Staffingly Supports Your Pharmacy on Rx30

Prescription Data Entry and Refill Queues

Our technicians work your Rx30 intake and refill queues: new prescription entry, e-script exceptions, patient and insurance detail, and the refill requests that stack up overnight and through lunch. Where your Virtual Pharmacist automation handles the clean refills, we take the exceptions it kicks out, so the queue is current instead of merely triaged. The benefit is a fill line that starts the morning at zero, not at yesterday’s backlog.

Adjudication, Rejections, and Resubmissions

Rejected claims are where pharmacy margin goes to die quietly. Our billing specialists work Rx30 rejection queues daily: refill-too-soon, plan limitations, ID mismatches, DAW and quantity issues, coordination of benefits, and the payer calls those rejections demand, so hold time stays off your fill line. Reversals and rebills get worked to closure and logged where you can audit them.

Inbound Calls and Patient Communication

Our team answers in your pharmacy’s name: refill requests, status questions, prescriber office calls, and transfer coordination, documented in Rx30 so the counter staff see the same record the caller heard. Every answered call is a prescription that did not walk to a competitor; we wrote about the hidden math in how many prescriptions unanswered calls cost.

Prior Authorization

When a claim rejects for prior authorization, our PA specialists take it from there: initiating the request with the prescriber’s office, working payer portals and phone queues, following up until a decision, and documenting status so the patient gets a real answer at the counter. Fewer abandoned fills, fewer we-will-call-you conversations that stay open for weeks.

Med Sync Upkeep

A dedicated remote specialist keeps your sync program actually synchronized: enrollment, alignment fills, monthly review calls, exception handling when a therapy changes, and the weekly upkeep hours that on-site staff can rarely protect. Sync density improves adherence metrics and smooths your fill volume into predictable batches.

Inventory, POS, and Reconciliation

Behind the counter, our team supports purchasing and inventory workflows, return-to-stock processing, cycle count support, and third-party reconciliation, matching what Rx30 says you were paid against what actually hit the bank. Unreconciled remittances and quiet underpayments are found on a schedule, not by accident at tax time.

Reporting and Work Queues

Rx30’s work queues and dashboards only help if someone owns them. Our team runs your daily and weekly reports, keeps assignable queues moving, watches fill volume and rejection trends, and sends you a plain-language production report every evening: what was entered, what was fixed, what needs your decision. You manage a summary, not a system.

Migration and Transition Support

Whether you are consolidating stores onto Rx30 or planning an eventual move within or beyond the Outcomes portfolio, migrations are where pricing tables, sig codes, and patient notes get lost. Our specialists handle the grunt work of a clean transition: pre-migration data cleanup, post-migration verification, and the double-entry period nobody has staff for. Read why migrations lose pricing tables before you schedule one.

Staffingly pharmacy specialist working inside a client's Rx30 system

Your Rx30 configuration, your sig conventions, your payer mix, and your SOPs are the curriculum. Pharmacist oversight is available for the desks that need it through our pharmacy outsourcing division. Access runs over secure remote sessions with named, auditable credentials under an individual HIPAA agreement per specialist, never shared logins.

Why Staffingly

Why Outsource Rx30 Work, and Why Staffingly

Pharmacy Operations We Support on Rx30

Single-store independents where one remote seat covers phones plus data entry, multi-store groups centralizing rejections and reconciliation into one desk, high-volume pharmacies pairing Rx30 automation with human exception handling, and combo operations that run retail alongside compounding or LTC lines. When the workload is being absorbed as overtime today, that is usually the sign the seat already exists; it is just unstaffed.

FAQ

Rx30 Outsourcing: Frequently Asked Questions

What tasks can a remote specialist do in Rx30?

Prescription data entry, refill queue work, rejection and resubmission handling, prior authorization follow-up, med sync upkeep, inbound call handling, inventory and purchasing support, third-party reconciliation, and daily reporting. Administrative work that happens inside Rx30 screens, a trained remote specialist can own.

Is Rx30 still supported after the Outcomes merger?

Yes. Transaction Data Systems merged with Outcomes in July 2023 and the combined company operates as Outcomes; Rx30 remains an actively sold and developed system in that portfolio. Our service works inside whatever version your pharmacy runs today.

How do your staff access our Rx30 system?

Through named individual user accounts you approve, over secure remote sessions, with least-privilege roles and full audit logging. No shared logins, no offline exports of PHI.

We already use Virtual Pharmacist automation. Why add people?

Automation clears the clean refills; it does not call payers, chase prior authorizations, maintain med sync exceptions, or answer phones. Our specialists take the exception work automation kicks out, which is where the staff hours actually go.

Can you answer our pharmacy phones?

Yes. Our team answers in your pharmacy’s name, documents each call in Rx30, and routes clinical questions to your pharmacist. Calls stop ringing out when the counter is slammed.

Can you outsource Rx30 billing and rejection work?

Yes. Dedicated billers work rejection queues, reversals, rebills, coordination of benefits, and third-party reconciliation daily, with production reported to you every evening.

Is outsourced Rx30 work secure and HIPAA-ready?

HIPAA-trained staff, executed BAAs, workflows designed to support HIPAA compliance, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, and $5M in coverage. Full detail on our security page.

How fast can a dedicated Rx30 team start?

Most teams go live in about 14 days: access setup, training on your SOPs, then supervised production. The engagement starts with a 2-Week Free Trial.
